In thumbnail #1, the title “lower the price of insulin” is a command. It is powerful because it does not ask for help but it states what needs to happen. The use of space in this thumbnail is basic but with the graphic of the insulin and the needle it depicts what the objective is on the flyer. The graphic is well drawn and is the object of attention.
Thumbnail #2, The graphic of insulin changed and now the amount that insulin is would be placed on the flyer. This use would be to inform and possibly outrage the viewer of the insulin prices. The vertical lines on the corners of the flyer frame the flyer in a way that also shows a different way to space out information. The syringe’s position follows the diagonal lines of the “frame” of the fyler and it flows in an appealing way to the eye.
Thumbnail #3 is an opinion but it is true for many people. The added “Help fight” asks the viewers to be in the “know” of the realities of the price of insulin and the toll it takes on those who need it to survive. The repetition of the insulin bottle might be more of a shocking effect if the bottle was in the broken hands of a user or even darkened in a shadow to show the looming price of the insulin.
The thumbnails use a consistent theme of the insulin image to visually stimulate the viewer rather than simply having the word there. Thumbnail one is minimalistic and prevents an excessive number of elements from crowding the flyer. An idea could be to have a dollar graph behind it signifying that the price should drop starting now. Thumbnail number two follows a similar aesthetic but uses strong symbolism and shock factor in regards to the displayed price to appeal the the logic of the viewer. Thumbnail three is a demand, this places responsibility and urgency on the reader to make a difference in some way.The color scheme that is decided will greatly affect the tone of the flyer so ensure that it complements the design.
